I am just not sure it will keep it's looks over time as I see that it has some kind of clear coat over the metal. I hope it won't peel or crack over time and start looking trashy. I would rather have the bare metal with it's natural look as it wears than a cracked coat. But so far it's looking good. I don't use it though together with a bunch of other keys, just the car remote and a couple of other keys, so it may actually last long without any signs of wear.

Smooth Leatherette Gear Shift Knob Boot for Volkswagen Golf Jetta Mark V & EOS Review

This knob and boot fit my Jetta in size and type, but the latches at the bottom aren't quite the right design to latch into the center console. Consequently, I'm faced with one several choices: go to the dealer, put the old, worn boot and knob back on and ship the new one back to Hong Kong, deal with it as is, or use double sided glue. I plan on driving my car until the wheels fall off of it. I just consider cars to be a bad investment in general. Double sided tape works great to keep the knob and boot in place. For the first few weeks, I just dealt with it by popping it back in when it came out. Either of these would work fine. I just wish the latches were built to OEM standards as the product should.

Over the summer I decided to add an oil temperature gauge in our '95 Neon Sport. I just happen to have a spare sender so I started searching for a VDO gauge that would work with it. My search brought me here. :)

The gauge is installed & works perfectly, as I knew it would.

The pros:
