URO Parts SK-202B Burl Wood Shift Knob Review

Bought this to replace a shift knob on a 1998 SL500. The original was leather with a benz logo on the top. The logo had come off before we bought the car. This one matched the wood perfectly and is completely flawless. I trimmed about 1/4" of the plastic sleeve to get it to fit the shift shaft in the car. Once you slide it down and tighten the lower screw trim it's completely secure. This piece is so nice that we kept the old worn leather one to put on when we take the car in for service :-).

1) remove original knob. Check.
2) Pick 1 of the 3 plastic spacers they provide that fit and place it on the shifter. Check
3) place gear knob collar over shaft facing upwards...
Either I didn't receive a gear knob collar, or it's glued onto the black skull and I can't get it off. Not sure which. I'll have a friend of mine look at it tomorrow. If it all turns out ok ill change my review but at this point I say it's an incomplete package.
