We bought a used Toyota Camry recently and the previous owner was a smoker. The car had been thoroughly cleaned and detailed but being non-smokers, we could still pick up on trace amounts of tobacco smell, especially when it had been sitting unopened for a couple of days. We bought the Yankee Candle company Leather-scented paper deodorizers and have been thrilled with the results. We followed the package recommendation of only opening one end of the wrapper and sliding just a little bit (about 1/2") of the scented paper out, then put it underneath the driver's seat. It perfectly masked the stale tobacco smell and we just now (after almost 3 months of use) slipped the next 1/2" outside of the plastic sleeve and sure enough, the leather smell has intensified. It is a VERY long lasting product. At the rate it's going, the one deodorizer is going to last about a year which makes it a real bargain!

We LOVE the leather scent and it matches the smell of the leather upholstery perfectly so it doesn't seem unnatural in the car. As one reviewer mentioned, it reminds me of the smell of a new car. Highly recommended!
