First, I bought this knob to put on my 48 Chevy. The current shift arm had a spline at the end and none of the included bushings would fit. It was not very hard to alter the smallest bushing to the proper diameter and install the knob. After installation, I decided to take the old jalopy for a spin around the block. To my chagrin, the knob rotated. Upon inspection, I noted the bushing and set screws were installed correctly, but the portion of the knob that had a bushing inset into it, to accept the arm bushing was loose (or factory installed glue was insufficient). I re-glued, using epoxy and I hope this holds.

As it stands, I would not recommend the purchase of this item as whoever did the drilling and installation of the outer bushing lacks any form of quality control. Will I return it? If it comes off again, definitely yes.
